PRE
TREATMENT
We recommend you exfoliate your entire body using a
product containing NO oils. Please shave and/or wax prior to
your service in addition to having your nails done if
applicable. Do not apply moisturizers, make-up or concealers.
Your skin should be fresh and clean for optimal tanning solution
absorption.
TANNING PROCESS
While it is our highest priority to make you feel
comfortable, it is at your discretion as to how undressed you
choose to be for your spray tanning service. Most people receive
their spray tan completely nude so as not to be left with tan
lines. You may wear your own undergarments or swimwear, but
please take into consideration the solution WILL STAIN nylon and
leather. Most undergarments and swimwear contain nylon. We will
provide disposable panties upon request. Your modesty and
comfort is important to us so if at anytime you are unsure with
this or any part of the spray tanning process please inform us
and we will not proceed. You will be asked to stand in different
poses. You may be asked to lift your breasts as well as to
separate your legs in order for the technicians to evenly and
effectively apply the tanning solution. If
you are uncomfortable at any time please inform us. You do not
have to proceed. We reserve the right for the client to stop
treatment at any time if uncomfortable. We reserve the right for
the technician to stop treatment at any time if uncomfortable.
The Active ingredient in our sunless tanner is DHA (Dihidroxyacetone)
which is a natural substance derived from sugar beets. DHA works
with the amino acids in the skin causing a chemical reaction
that turns the upper layers of the skin brown. DHA is naturally
drying to the skin. Your sunless tan will look the best for the
1st three days after application. Like a natural tan, your
sunless tan will gradually fade and is usually obsolete in 7-10
days. To maintain your sunless tan we recommend repeating the
whole process at least every 10 days.
The spray tan application takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
POST TREATMENT
Please allow at least 10 minutes to dry before getting dressed.
Do not come into contact with leather (i.e. leather furniture,
leather upholstery, leather attire) because the tanning solution
will stain leather. The color that you see immediately after
application is just a bronzer or ‘make-up’ simply used as a
color guide to ensure even application by your technician. It
will take approximately 8-12 hours for your sunless tan to
‘activate’ so as time progresses you will start to look darker.
This is just the sunless tan activating and mixing with the
bronzer or ‘make-up’. We recommend you do not shower, sweat or
swim for 8-12 hrs. after application. Try to wear loose, dark
clothing. Once you decide to shower the color of the water
rinsing off of you will be the color of a tea. This is the
bronzer or ‘make-up’ rinsing off. Once the bronzer is completely
rinsed off you will be left with just your sunless tan. To help
the sunless tan last longer, and fade more evenly we recommend
you use an intense moisturizer, avoid exfoliation, entering
chlorinated pools or salt water and not using products
containing alpha hydroxy or glycolic acid.
CAUTIONS
This treatment may cause individual sensitivities or may
aggravate allergic symptoms. Reactions could occur, even in
clients with no prior history of adverse reactions. You should
not receive spray sunless tanning services if you have asthma,
open sores, broken skin, inflammation, suspicious growths,
active herpes or any communicable disease. Please consult with
your physician(s) prior to service if you are pregnant or under
a doctors care.
